For anyone whose feet have longed for adventure and whose heart has longed for home!
This holiday season, our 2014 Helen Hayes Nominated production is back by popular demand!

This new adaptation for young audiences follows a marionette’s wild adventures in becoming a real boy. Five actors bring Carlo Collodi's classic tale to life is a flurry of masks, music and merriment!

Originally penned as a serial in 1881, Le avventure di Pinocchio (The Adventures of Pinocchio) was the birth of a rascally wooden character who would grow to be a time-honored favorite. Written in the tradition of the wily servants of Commedia dell'Arte, our hero is always getting himself in and out of scrapes, running into colorful characters, and trying his best even at his worst. Bring the whole family as we combine Faction's bold theatricality with this fantastical story of foxes, fairies, high-strung puppet-masters and underwater beasts.

About Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW)
The arts create challenge; the arts create common ground; and the arts must be accessible to all – these are the rallying cries of the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW), which serves all ages and provides tuition assistance for youth and adult classes. Offerings include photography, writing, visual arts, ceramics, acting, and dance. A van collects children in Ward 6 at elementary and middle schools for after-school classes and private music lessons and there are one-week sessions of Summers Arts Adventure Camp, plus specialty camps – with equal access for all. Juried shows for artists and many performances (CHAWbaret, Gilbert & Sullivan, and performance festivals) keep adults engaged and alive. Taffety Punk Theatre Company is CHAW's theater-in-residence, complemented by performances by dog and pony dc, American Ensemble Theater, and Capital City Players. Some 500 people participate in the Workshop's programs each week – 20,000 annually. Here, the arts inspire. We hope they inspire you, too. Treat yourself to an innovative arts experience at CHAW. To stay in touch with what is happening, sign up for our occasional eblast at www.chaw.org.
